Terms of payment
These Online Payment Terms apply to the use of the online payment transaction services (the Services) for the payment of certain types of transactions as made available by Centre for Advanced Professional Practices EVENTS Dubai, UAE from time to time through the CAPP EVENTS website.

These Online Payment Terms constitute a contract between you and CAPP EVENTS. Please read them carefully. You may either accept or decline the Terms as indicated at the bottom of this page, but to make payment using the Services you must accept the Terms by clicking "I Accept".

Please note that the Online Payment Terms may be altered or added to by the CAPP EVENTS at any time that CAPP EVENTS determines necessary, with or without notice. Please, therefore, ensure that you read the Terms carefully on each occasion that you use the Services.

Payment of registration fees
The registration fees can be paid in Dirhams (AED) or US dollars.
Payment may be made using only Visa or MasterCard Credit cards or Debit card.
Once a payment has been made it cannot be cancelled.

Refund/Cancellation policy
A Refund of the registration fee will be made as follows:
- Notification in writing 40 days prior the event -50% refund.
20 days prior to the event - no refund can be given.

Only one(1) discount may be applied to an individual registration. Under no circumstances can any of the discounts be combined. Your registration must be paid in full in order to receive the pricing for those discounts.

Privacy Policy

    M. Erhan Çömlekoğlu is a graduate of Ege University, School of Dentistry where he received his DDS degree. He attended Prosthesis Program of Graduate Study offered by Institute of Health Sciences at Ege University and graduated with Ph.D. degree at Prosthodontics. He is an Associate Professor and resident at the Department of Prosthodontics, School of Dentistry at Ege University, İzmir, Turkey.

    He completed several scientific projects supported by national and international institutions. He was honoured more than 30 national and international scientific awards. With these projects he authored more than 70 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals in the field of adhesive and implant dentistry and established CAD/CAM restorative laboratory at the dental school.

    His clinical practice is limited to Prosthodontics at the Department of Prosthodontics, School of Dentistry, Ege University. He maintains his full-time faculty position and his teaching responsibilities include undergraduate clinical practice besides theoretical lessons about fixed partial prosthodontics and research about implant prosthodontics. He is the clinical instructor of senior year dental school students. He is also particularly involved in post-graduate clinical education of research assistants at the department. Dr. Çömlekoğlu is intensely involved in scientific research regarding adhesive dentistry and implant dentistry. His current research interest particularly covers implant-periodontium interactions and their clinical outcomes.
  • Lecture: Philosophy of Dental Esthetics & Single Visit Smile Design Concept
    Dentistry faced 3 big evolutions in the past 60 years: Adhesion, dental implants and digital dentistry. Amongst all, digital dentistry seems to be the strongest one. After this evolution, first the dental industry was affected and numerous new materials have been introduced in the market nearly every day. Now, we begin to change our treatment protocols accordingly and a new concept is born: Single Visit Dentistry. On the other hand, the big alterations were not only on the dental side, the esthetic perception of the people has also changed. Today, a well-balanced, whitish smile has become the most important communication tool and therefore an increased number of patients are demanding smile design rehabilitation. When the improvements in digital dentistry and the new expectations of the patients are combined, single visit smile design dentistry may be a rational treatment concept. In this presentation 3 topics will be covered;

  • Lecture: Digital Dentistry: Do novel materials meet all our expectations?
    The demand of the patients towards metal-free restorations has increased due to search for biosafety as well as aesthetics. To meet this need, novel materials and processing technologies are being introduced. With recent developments in sintered glass, polycrystalline, alumina and zirconia based ceramic materials and adhesive systems parallel with the computer-aided design and manufacturing methods have shifted the way of dental technology focused on lost-wax technique. Very precise intra-oral scanners have been developed due to advances in optical techniques. Computer technology in dentistry is not only used for restoration fabrication, but it is also used for diagnosis and treatment, as a communication tool for patients and treatment planning for all dental fields as well as guided surgery. Digital dentistry will be the key of the future!

    The objective of this lecture is to discuss the high quality, fast but precise and relatively economical dental restoration fabrication techniques and materials by using the CAD/CAM technology.

    Dr Lawrence Lau graduated from Sydney University in 1997, BDS Honors, and opened his private practice in 1999. Since then he has opened 3 practices around Sydney Metro area.

    Dr Lau is an advocate of digital Dentistry and started with his own CAD CAM Chairside unit in 2004, shortly thereafter he certified as mentor and trainer for CEREC, CBCT and integrated Implantology. Besides that, he is very active in digital Orthodontics and is awarded as Invisalign Gold provider. Moreover, he is a WCLI Associate.

    In Australia, he runs independent Digital Dentistry training courses several times a year and well- known for his great expertise in digital dentistry giving tips and tricks to colleagues.

    Jan-Frederik Güth (Dr. med. dent.) holds the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Prosthodontics of the Dental School of the Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich. Dr. Güth defended his “Habilitation” in 2014 and received the title “Privatdozent”. During 2013 he spent a research-stay (visiting professor) at the University of Southern California (USC; Pascal Magne). He is a member of the German Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (DGZMK), the German Association of Prosthetics and Bio-Materials (DG-Pro) and the German Association of Implantology (DGI). His main field of attention and research is the digital impression technology and the connected workflow on teeth and implants, CAD/CAM-technology and high-performance polymers. In this field he is an internationally noted lecturer and published numerous scientific and clinical articles.
  • Lecture: Digital Biomimetics – innovative treatment strategies in prosthodontics
    In the dental environment currently two megatrends exist – one is the digital revolution in technology – the other one is the minimal invasive “close-to-nature-dentistry”. On the first glance, this two developments seem to contradict each other. However looking closer towards the details, dentists, dental technicians and patients can find an enormous potential of synergies: Digital dentistry offers great tools, to get closer to the aim of nature-imitating restorations and to respect biological principles at the same time.     Dr. Mahn is a graduate from the University of Chille, School of Dentistry. He received the German DDS in Munster, Westfalen Lippe one year later. The New York University College of Dentistry certified him as Implantologist in 2007. In 2008, he published his doctorate thesis in 2008 titled "Osseointegration of zirconia implants, an in vivo study" and got his doctorate degree in 2010.

    Between 2007 and 2009 he worked for Ivoclar Vivadent at the ICDE (International Center for Dental Education), Schaan, Liechtenstein. Later he joined Samaya clinic in Jeddah, KSA between 2009 and 2011. Currently he is an associate at CIPO clinic in Santiago, Chille and is the Head of Clinical Research at the Universidad de los Andes in Santiago, Chille. He has been lecturing intensively about Esthetic Dentistry and Implantology in more than 40 countries and is author from several articles.
  • Lecture: Preparation rules for CAD-CAM restorations. Did something really change?
    We have seen a lot of changes during the last years involving material science.
    From Gold and different metal alloys we progressed to ceramics materials. From traditional conventional cementation we advanced to adhesive bonding. Since the survival rate of traditional materials was quite acceptable, the question was why should these be changed. The obvious answer was because they were not esthetic enough. With new demands of an increasingly “esthetically concerned” society, those materials are not longer adequate. The issue was that new materials were more sensitive to technique and clinicians were relying too much on adhesion and forgetting the “classic” preparation rules. So the question that arises is if preparation rules for all ceramic restorations once were changed, should they be modified again for CAD-CAM restorations?

    The lecture will analyse this topic from an historical perspective, based on practical examples and fully documented clinical cases. Material science will be discussed and new challenges of minimal invasive preparations combined with CAD-CAM restorations will be presented.
  • Lecture: Digital Dentistry: How to Get the Best of Digital Photography, Computarized Smile Design and CAD-CAM Technology?
    Every year it is easier to document our cases, thanks to the improvement in digital photography.
    We already know the importance not to document a whole case, but at least give the technician certain information and have a minimal protocol for the diagnosis and planning of anterior cases. This is crucial in order to develop a minimal sense for esthetic and it will help us to recognise what kind of treatment we should do and for example, how many teeth we should include or leave untouched. The facial midline and inclination of the teeth midlines or occlusal plane are fundamental and should be under control. If there is no way to paralelnize them we should at least diminish their esthetic impact. How to choose the proper tooth form and size is also of paramount importance and still difficult to control. In addition, the CAD-CAM technology is still not making this process any easier.

    How to simplify clinical digital protocols and combine them with simple traditional tools will be the key of this lecture. Advantages and limitations of modern systems will be be discussed.

    From 1985 to1989, Oliver Brix received his training as dental technician. Since 1989, he has been working as dental technician in various dental laboratories and dental practices. Oliver Brix specialises in the fields of esthetics and function, all-ceramics, biomechanical occlusal surface design and implantology. From 1990 to 1998 he participated in various national and international continuing education programs.

    He has been working as a freelancer for several dental practices in the field of functional and esthetic fixed prostheses since 1994. Furthermore, he has given continuing education courses and lectures on the topic of ceramics and esthetics on a worldwide basis since 1993. Oliver Brix is international guest lecturer and consultant to Ivoclar Vivadent AG. He has published various articles in national and international trade journals on the topic of ceramics and esthetics. He has been a member of the “Zahntechnischer Arbeitskreis Düsseldorf” (Dusseldorf study group of dental technicians) since 1997 and an active member of the “DGÄZ" (German association of esthetic dentistry) since 2000. In March 2001, he published the textbook “The Fundamentals of Esthetics”.

    Furthermore, Oliver Brix has been a member of the editorial board of AACD since 2007; he opened the International Training Centre in 2009 and the dental practice “Innovative Dental Design Oliver Brix”, Bad Homburg, Germany, in 2012. In March 2013, he published the textbook “Fascination Ceramics”.
  • Lecture: Conceptual Teamwork and Procedure Involved in the Fabrication of Complex All-ceramic Restorations
    Restorations in the visible esthetic zone continue to represent a challenge for the dental team. In addition to imparting restorations with an appropriate shape and true-to-nature shading, various other requirements need to be met. A harmonious overall impression can only be achieved by means of meticulous planning, teamwork and a consistent restorative approach. In this lecture, the most important steps in the fabrication of complex all-ceramic restorations will be explained in detail - from the idea all the way to the realization. The presentation will be illustrated with various case studies. This lecture will invite attendees on an esthetic journey from single-tooth crowns and veneers to implant supported restorations.

    Dr. Alexandros Manolakis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. After graduating from the University of Freiburg in Germany in 2002, he received his Dr. Med. Dent. degree from the University of Göttingen in Germany in 2003. He was a visiting associate professor in the department of Periodontology in the University of Freiburg until 2004. After attending military service in Greece as a dentist, he maintains since 2006 a private practice specialising dental implants and aesthetic dentistry together with his brother, Kleanthis Manolakis, in Thessaloniki, Greece.

    Dr. Alexandros Manolakis is coauthor of a German Periodontology Textbook (Praxis der Zahnheilkunde, Parodontologie, 4th Ed; Elsevier, 2005), author of various publications and an international lecturer.

    He is an official teaching mentor for different dental implant systems and he is giving hands-on courses with live-surgeries in implantology, soft-tissue-management and bonemanagement. Areas of special interest include Periodontal Micro-Surgery, Computer-Guided Implant Placement, Immediate Loading of Implants placed in the Edentulous Jaw, Applications of chairside CAD/CAM and 3D-Printing in Implantology.

    He is an member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED affiliate) and the Computer Aided Implantology (CAI) Academy.

    Dr. Alexandros Manolakis is co-editor-in-chief of the greek journals Dentorama and Dental Journal.

    Professor Paul Tipton is an internationally acclaimed Specialist in Prosthodontics who has worked in private practice for more than 30 years. He is the founder of Tipton Training Ltd, one of the UK’s leading private dental training academies and the author of over one 100 scientific articles for the dental press. He was voted in the Top 20 ‘most influential dentists in the UK’ by his peers in Dentistry Magazine in April 2012, the leading Prosthodontist in the poll and was voted in the top 5 dentists in Private Dentistry’s Elite 20 poll, January 2012.

    He gained his Master’s Degree in 1989 from the Eastman Dental Hospital and London University and started teaching on the University of Manchester’s MSc in Restorative Dentistry. He is now Professor of Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry at the City of London Dental School.

    His private dental training academy, Tipton Training, was founded in 1991 and to date over 3000 dentists have completed a one year course at the Academy.

    In 1992, Prof. Tipton was awarded an honorary Diploma in General Dental Practice from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was appointed a member of the British Dental Association’s Independent Practice Committee. In 1999, he was certified as a Specialist in Prosthodontics by the General Dental Council.

    Prof Tipton is on the editorial board of Private Dentistry Magazine, The Journal of Indian Prosthodontics Society and Implant Dentistry and is a medical writer and part of the advisory board at Expert Beauty Magazine and ‘Woman’s’ magazine. He was a founding member and on the Board of Directors of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is the past president of the British Academy of Implant Dentistry and is currently the President of the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He was recently elected Fellow of the International Academy of dental Facial Esthetics (IADFE) and Associate Fellow of the University of Warwick.

    We all live in a more stressful environment and as a result bruxism is on the rise.
    Studies suggest that everyone will brux at some stage in their lives as a result of stress.
    In addition more people are retaining their teeth and having complex restorative procedures completed at an ever increasing financial outlay as more and more people wear their teeth down at an alarming rate.
    As a result their needs to be a review of the treatment options for the worn dentition and guidelines for the treatment that involves not only restoration of the teeth but also long term maintenance of these restorations including Occlusal Principles and how to gain the necessary space for the restorations which then involves alterations to the Vertical Dimension.

    Eric Berger is a passionate dental technician who values high quality in a dental restoration.

    After successfully studying material science at the Higher National Institut für das Handwerk [Higher National Institute for Crafts], he continued his training in Germany, then opened his own laboratory, "Dental technique Berger", in 1989 in Metz.

    His dental laboratory is a certified VITA Master Lab (VITA Master Labs are an international group of committed top dental technology laboratories with "opinion leader" status). His laboratory's main fields of activity are ceramics, combined technology and implantology. Eric Berger places a lot of value on close cooperation between dental technicians and dentists. In his opinion, this is the critical factor for determining the quality of the restoration.

    Eric Berger strives tirelessly for perfection. To achieve this, he studies many different processing techniques for dental ceramics (metal ceramics, pressed ceramics and CAD/CAM materials) and applies these in his practice. For him, masterful dental technology includes both precise tooth shade measurement and the targeted use of individualization using the residual dentition as the model. He views his work as the "art of ceramics."

    Ike is a graduate from the University of Otago, New Zealand. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Anatomy and Structural Biology, School of Medicine; before his fascination in the field of Dentistry.

    In 2003, he graduated with Distinction, a Bachelor Degree in Dental Technology, School of Dentistry, University of Otago. Since 2004, he became a New Zealand Registered Dental Technician, and selected to be a Board Member of the New Zealand Dental Council. He was heavily involved in the production side of removable prosthodontic appliances for a few years before he decided to pursue his passion in the fixed prosthodontics discipline. He worked as a laboratory supervisor in the waxing and ceramics department until 2008; before he relocated to Thailand.

    Since then he has been working for Ivoclar Vivadent as a Technical Consultant and Trainer, for the South East Asia region. He has been lecturing and conducting hands-on workshop intensively in the fixed prosthodontic disciplinary in countries including Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam. He is also a guest lecturer at various Universities among these countries. Ike is presently working with clinical key opinion leaders emphasizing comprehensive implantology, restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
